The Information Technology Department is responsible for supporting the District’s computing infrastructure, including the Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, and Wireless Network. IT manages the District’s computer work stations, servers, electronic file systems, email, network equipment, phone systems, internet access, audio/visual equipment, and all software and database programs. In addition, IT manages the District’s communications equipment including mobile display computers, mobile and portable radios, pagers, and cellular phones.

IT supports approximately 65 workstations District-wide. The Department maintains proper licensing and maintenance contracts for District owned software and hardware. The IT Department partners with all divisions to evaluate technology needs and helps determine the best solutions to meet both immediate and long-term needs.

IT maintains the GIS mapping system and reports. IT produces maps for response zone analysis, workflow analysis, and deployment standards. In addition, IT works with the 911 Dispatch Center for computer aided dispatch programming and support.
