New Scenic Avenue Fire Station
Project 18-SAFS

Fire District 3 is seeking proposals from qualified architects for design and engineering of our new Scenic Avenue fire station. This project will be awarded based on a competitive selection process. The award will not be based solely on low price quote but rather to the most advantageous proposal. Proposers may comment on any specifications which they feel limit competition.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-proposal meeting at 10:00 A.M. PST on Tuesday, August 15, 2018. Interested parties must be present to be eligible to submit a proposal. The meeting will be held in the Crater Lake Room at the Fire District 3 Administrative Office located at 8383 Agate Road White City, Oregon 97503.

All sealed proposals must be received by 1:00 P.M. PST on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 and delivered to Fire District 3 at 8383 Agate Road, White City, Oregon 97502. Proposals shall be sealed in an envelope clearly marked “Scenic Avenue Architectural Bid” and addressed to Deputy Chief John Patterson. Proposers shall provide five (5) copies of their proposal with all attachments included.

DESCRIPTION: The Personal Services Contract will be for a Cost-Plus with a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for architectural and engineering services for an approximate 7,500ft2 single story essential facility fire station to be constructed at 1901 Scenic Avenue in Central Point, Oregon. Construction completion is required by spring of 2020. This contract is for an Architect to assist in final building design, site plan development, assist in obtaining City of Central Point Development Services approvals, complete construction drawings, landscaping, finishes and furnishings, permits, other services appropriate to this type of project, and work as a partner through the Construction Manager /General Contractor phase until the building is granted a Certificate of Occupancy. Total project cost shall be in line with other recently completed fire stations in Oregon.
