The Operations Division’s primary responsibility is the delivery of emergency services. These services include:

The District uses a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters to provided these services. The District averages over 10 incidents a day, many requiring response from two or more stations. This level or activity requires the District to constantly monitor station staffing and to routinely move apparatus and personnel from one area to another. 60% to 70% of calls are medical and/or rescue related.
Personnel assigned to the Operations Division also participate in training, public education, and fire safety surveys and inspections. All these activities are designed to improve firefighter proficiency and to limit risk throughout the community.
