Mark Northrop was born and raised in the Rogue Valley. Mark attended and graduated from Rogue River School District in 1988. His fire service career began in late 1987 during the seasons immense fire problem. As a volunteer he graduated Umpqua Community College with his paramedic certificate. He was then hired by Rogue River Fire District and worked as a firefighter/Paramedic. He graduated from Rogue Community College in 1997 with an A.S in Fire Science. Mark was promoted to Captain and Fire Marshal and has since graduated from Western Oregon University with a B.S. in Fire Service Administration.
Mark is currently certified as a Fire and life safety inspector, Fire plans examiner, and Fire investigator.
He currently lives in the peaceful Evans valley just north of Rogue River with his high school sweetheart and wife and their two boys.
Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family camping and managing their small farm.
